Poems from a young man in the Pacific Northwest in 2013, living simultaneously on the fringes of and totally within our crazy real modern times; the romance of pastoral subsistence simultaneously embraced, mastered, and mocked. There is no escape from the present moment. Casting a fishing line into a pre-dawn river, a craigslist appointment on the mind. In these poems (sent to the publisher via text message) beautiful scenes of wholesome eternity are economically juxtaposed with references to beef jerky, Mr. Pibb, Smashing Pumpkins, Ram Dass, Rihanna, bumper stickers, Wild Waves, and so on. Reading this, one remembers that nothing is real, everything is true. All pages are illustrated by full color photographs.
